Out There (2024 Manchester)

Growing up I would ride my bike around my neighbourhood looking into people’s front yards or trying to grab a glimpse though their windows. I always had this strong irrational feeling that there was something happening behind other people’s walls that I was missing out on. As I grew into a teenager that feeling developed into a longing that there was a boy in there that was my companion. I sound like a complete psycho but it’s just how my mind or heart worked.

This image was taken from my X´s apartment window. Besides the view captivating me, it captured that sense of longing and wondering what or who was happening out there. I guess it is a sad emotion to feel but one I have lived with my entire life.
