Treetrunk Legs with Martin Mazza at V35 2014

For those of you who are new followers, I suffered a bad hip injury in 2010 that also resulted in pulling my knee out as well. I had to do re-hab on legs for 12 months and start again from scratch. I’m talking 10 kilos on each side Squats! I’m now back training at the level of intensity that I used to before the injury but always with caution and still restricted from doing certain exercises.

SQUATS PROGRAM

8 x Smith Machine Squats
2 sets warm up x of 15-20 reps
2 sets 80 kilos x of 8-12
1 set 120 kilos x of 8-12
1 set 140 kilos x of 10 reps
1 set 160 kilos x of 4 reps

In this workout I went into the gym with one goal, to max out my maximum squat weight. It’s ok to just pick one exercise and smash that exercise for a workout session. You don’t need to do 10 different ones! (I used the Smith Machine due to my hip injury.)

    Hitting the gym to bust up my legs today.
    Wanted to see you pushin’ some blood in those tree trunks.
    Like the position of your legs being a little forward so you can squat
    a little deeper and finish the movement at the bottom.
    I was concerned for handsome Mr. Mazza, I would have liked to have
    seen him closer and up in there to catch and support the weight if you buckled. My training partner is straight but he is right
    there against me when I push up that amount of weight.
    My ex loved it when I squated in the gym around all the posers with
    my ass way out and my back arched. I overemplasized on purpose
    lol. Would have liked you posing those huge quads/thighs and hot ass after you pumped them though rather than your arms but
    I never object to you doing that when you say “So you want some of this? !!!!!
