It was year 7 and I had just started at my high school, Iona College, in Lindum Queensland. I was on the school bus home half way down in the isle seat. Its fkin hot in the north of Australia and it must have been summer so the bus was a microwave. I glanced behind me to the back of the bus to a sight that changed my life forever. It was one of the moments that reached through Tristan´s shy reserve, all the way inside, to penetrate the Rogan who was at that time caged withen me.

Jay Eff was one of those photographers who´s eye completely seduced me in retro hunk aesthetic. The Hyde to Herb Ritts Jekyll. Only Jay was too unassuming and gentle of nature to reach the heights of his peers. The same quality that made me form a friendship with him that has lasted over the years.
