Pop culture, music, movies, books and art, not only saved my life as a shy awkward teenager, it was the driving force in making me into the creative 80s crazed muscle animal I am today! Barbarians from the 80s films my dad would rent from the local video store shaped my image of masculinity, while 80s pop singers inspired my hunger to follow my dreams and fantasy books allowed me to escape my life and hide in their adventures instead.
As you guys know I treat my life like a movie and with every KIKASS movie there’s a KIKASS soundtrack. Every relationship I’ve had has been accompanied by a soundtrack, BOOM had 6 volumes! and yes, there is a Skip soundtrack that I’ve been listening too and adding to over the last year so I thought for this music post why not stay on topic and share some of these songs with you…
IM using D Boys laptop to make some posts! And for this selection of songs I thought I would re-discover songs I’ve used in my PERFORMANCE ART pieces. All of which you can see at my BLOG under the same named category.

I Believe In You The Abbey Road Sessions by Kylie Minogue from the Company of Men PIT PERFORMANCE 2014
For this post I’m going to chose a song from my top 6 Kylie albums.
Album Kylie Minogue. This actually is one of my all time favorite Kylie music videos too!
Album Rhythm Of Love. Even though the first ever long play vinyl album i ever bought was Kylie’s debut album and I was a fan ever since it was this album and this song in particular that cemented her as a musical and visual idol.
Album Impossible Princess. There’s actually a shot by shot re-enactment of this video that me, my brother and some girlfriends made. They would kill me if it ever saw the light of day. Can you guess which Kylie i was? No, it’s not the obvious choice.
Album Body Language. “You’ll never get to heaven if you’re scared of getting high.”
Album Kiss Me Once. I’m sure you’ve all seen the TROUGH X promo I did to this song. Me and Skippy were gonna do a performance to this song on the night but there wasn’t space enough for us to do it.
