I get heaps of requests to show off my GUNS and you don’t need to ask twice! Here I hit them at the gym until they’re about to pop out of my skin. In between each set I can’t help but show them off and pose for the camera while indulging in my trademark banter…
For those of you who are new followers, I suffered a bad hip injury in 2010 that also resulted in pulling my knee out as well. I had to do re-hab on legs for 12 months and start again from scratch. I’m talking 10 kilos on each side Squats! I’m now back training at the level of intensity that I used to before the injury but always with caution and still restricted from doing certain exercises.

In this video when I do Wide Grip Pull Downs I’m still activating my traps rather than my lats. The posture was correct the execution wasn’t, for some reason I have always struggled to get a good mind-muscle connection with my lats.

It was late and cold the night we filmed this. Both SKIP and I had to dig deep to get through the workout. I have said this in videos before, the main muscle you need to work in order to be a true MUSCLE BEAST is your head. Besides educating yourself on food, sups, and weight training you have to continually motivate and drive yourself to bigger better gains. It can be a real mind fuck at times but you need to find what motivates you when all you want to do is give up. It could be a SEXY-ASS training partner like SKIP (and knowing after we work out I get to go pump his ass after we’ve just pumped ourselves up is pretty good motivation for me!) It could be music, I couldn’t have gotten through contest prep cardio without Nicki Minaj! Whatever it is find it and use it and SMASH IT!
If you want to just BLOW OUT ur arms and don’t have much time to spend in the gym, here’s a “Hit ‘em Hard and Hit ‘em quick” routine.
Superset ur BIS and TRIS. We are working towards volume not weight. (ie – large sets not heavy kilos.) What exercises you do and in what order is completely limited to your imagination. You will achieve a massive pump and walk out of the gym looking like Popeye.
